Nokia 6280 Tricks : Phone Zoom Lens

Resently the cameras on cellphones are getting better and better. How ever the optics on them are mostly crap made of cheap plastic.

Then i spawned the idea “Why not oparate an SLR lens on to the cell?”
This hack will give you 36x optical zoom on your cell just because of the crop factor + the zoom of the lens you may use. I’d strongly recomend using a prime lens for easier calibrating the focal distance.

I chosed to use a Nikon 50mm f/1.4
The first thing to do is get rid of the old crappy one…

1. Remove the plastic back of the cell
2. Remove the 4 torc-screws and gently pry of the lid, exposing the electronics.
3. Now it’s time for the really delecate stuff, getting the old lens off. The promblem is that Nokia in all their wisdom glued the lens on the camera and to get i off, you’ll have to brake it by gently prying a screwdriver in between the lens and the tube holding it.
4. Now it’s time to put it all back together again (do step 2 and then 1)
5. You need to get a hold of a c-mount/SLR-lens converter… Like the one i used in the Super zoom on a surveillance camera. article.
6. Carve out a hole in the backplate to fit the converter. Remember the hole should be exactly above the CCD-chip, this is very important !!!
7. Use about 7 layers of moulding tape to hold the converter on to the backplate.
8. Assemble the phone and mount your lens.
9. FINISH, Get ready to shoot !

NOTE : The downside of this project is that the a little wobly on the camera so focusing can be a little hard to do… And do to the fact, the nikon lens isn’t optimized for such a small chip the pictures taken, will have some light stribes along the sides of the foto.

Installing Ngage Games on NOKIA 6600, 7610, 3650, 3660

There are 2 types of ngage games. 1 is in .blz format, the other is a folder wif man other files and folders. im going to talk about the .blz version 1st.

U need the .blz file, and blzinstaller.sis to install it.
1) install the blzinstaller.sis, into fone or mmc, doesn matter.
2) send the .blz file to ur fone. for tis example, im gonna use sonic.blz.
3) move the .blz to the root dir of e:, which is ur mmc. meaning, DUN place it in any folders, place it in e:, so it looks like tis
4) run blzinstaller to install, can take a while thou.

Note: if u send the .blz file to ur fone wifout using pc suite, it normally ends up in the inbox. For 6600 and 3650 users, space on c: is limited, so go to , , , set the mem in use to mmc.

and den, use a file explorer (example, fexplorer, seleq, etc), go to e:/system/mail/(1st folder), and find the .blz file, its in one of the 16 folders labelled 0-9, a-f. den cut, paste to e: root dir.

sometimes, when u get a ngage game from irc, it doesnt come in .blz format, but in a folder named . open it, it shld be another folder name . open it again, is a folder tts the game. for tis example, the folder name in system/app tt u downloaded is

for ngage users, simple as hell, paste fifa folder into e:/system/app folder of ur fone, using the supplies usb cable. if u cant see the system folder when u plug the usb cable, change the folder settings to reveal all folders.

for 3650 and 6600 users, it will b a bit troublesome. u haf to move the files 1 by 1, into the exact place on ur mmc. so, u haf to create a folder on ur e:/system/app, den copy the files to the exact same location, 1 by 1.

occasionally, u get another folder wif the system folder when u download the game. u haf to replace the 2 lib files in ur mmc. place them in e:/system/LIB. if theres no such folder, create one.

So thats about it!

Note: Want to do this? Go get a MMC reader. Its the easiest & quickest way to trasfer files.

A Nokia Tool for downloading firmware, finding product codes, and more

NAVIFIRM is the ultimate all-purpose tool for downloading Nokia firmware images, obtaining lists of product codes, and finding the right product code for your phone. NAVIFIRM downloads all this straight from Nokia's servers so you don't have to wait for people to post data packages and lists of product codes.

NAVIFIRM is useful for just about anyone:

• End users: Find product codes to use with NSS/NSU
• Developers: Download ROM images for extracting files
• Care Suite/Phoenix/box users: Download ROM images to flash

Additional NSU servers can be added by editing Main.cs in the source code.

Lock E61 Remotely

Methode :

1) Go to Tools > Settings
2) Security > Phone and SIM. Scroll down to “Allow remote lock” and toggle to yes.
3) Enter a remote lock code of at least 5 numbers and/or digits.
4) Verify your remote lock code and then confirm the setting with your device lock code.
5) Once you have confirmed with the lock code you have enabled remote lock of your Nokia E61

By sending an  SMS with the lock code in the message to your device you can now lock it down.
